PCKeeper’s antivirus is built on Avira core technology. It protects a user’s computer from a majority of threats that come both – from offline and online.

Antivirus scans the system for all known Windows viruses, protects it from identity theft, blocks phishing sites and non-trusted web-resources. It scans through the downloaded files to make sure there are no hidden threats such as Trojan, spyware or malware.

PCKeeper’s Antivirus provides a flexible schedule of full system scans, according to the user’s preferences. It also updates itself daily to make sure it is capable of protecting a user’s computer from the newest types of threats.

It requires a creditcard or paypal or wire translfer and signup to get the free license and it says your card will be continously re-charged on a yearly basis.

Also they say they use AVIRA engines.

Anyway too shady to use.

Looks like a fake av:mad:

Think about this.

You make a new antivirus. Let's say it has great detection, is light on the system and has lots of great other utilities in it as well. All in all, you have a great product. The question is...how on earth will you spread it?
The AV market is very established and has its huge names, like Avast, ESET, Kaspersky and other ten or so vendors claiming 95% of the profit. Now, you have your own AV which might be better than some of these, BUT people won't give it a chance because it's new and thus "looks like a fake av". How can you grow with an attitude like that in all potential users?

I have no intention to make new av. I hate "programming" . but i like to collect as much as av programs and their keys.:D
