It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

New Doctor Web good database
a lot of guys here believe that Doctor Web is weak in Detection Ratio.
but yes Doctor Web have wide usefull Database, and IMO have the fewest False Postivise becuase they will analys all of the samples and release their analys in their Website, and they working based algorithms which means when they add for example Cerber v1, they also could detect Cerber v3 easly IF it had the same behavioral algorithm. at the moment their Database is about 5,970,498
they are collecting their Database since 1998! so is that really true? they just collect something about 6 million signature since 1998?

read more about that here: Dr.Web - innovative anti-virus technologies. Comprehensive protection from Internet threats.

It's a quality over quantity, since nowadays all test are based on recent threats which very important to rely on different techniques through AI, behavior and cloud.

All antivirus play differently on gathering the information, considering on which region is impact on the distribution of threats.
