Phone-hacking trial: Kate Middleton targeted 155 times, court hears

Kate Middleton's phone was hacked 155 times between 2005 and 2006, the Old Bailey has heard.

Former News of the World royal editor Clive Goodman effectively admitted hacking the phones of Prince William, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton for the first time in court.

As well as the serial hacking of the then Ms Middleton's phone - including on Christmas Day - the Old Bailey heard that Prince William's phone was hacked 35 times and Prince Harry's nine times.

On his return to the phone hacking trial witness box after weeks of ill-health, Goodman was accused of being much more heavily involved in illegal activity than he had previously admitted.

In 2006 he and private detective Glenn Mulcaire had pleaded guilty to hacking phones in relation to royal aides.

Goodman is now on trial accused of two counts of conspiring with Coulson and others to commit misconduct in public office, charges which he denies.
