Advice Request Physical Firewall and Next-Gen Firewall

Hi Guys,

I'm kind of new to the community and I wanted to know does the community make the comparison to physical firewalls and next-gen firewalls?
Examples; Sophos, Fortigate, Sonicwall, Comodo etc.
