This is a pretty big mistake, and while they declare in public their reasoning behind this, it makes no logical sense other than they are getting pushback from ad/telemetry/tracking firms and sponsors. The reason it makes no sense is Pi-Hole themselves don't have to deal with false positives. Pi-Hole is used by IT Guys and Prosumers, who know how to watch for incorrect blocks and whitelist. Why would Pi-Hole have any dealings with any of that? Anyway, it's not as big of a deal as it sounds since you can still use the old-style parsed ad/telemetry blocklists such as the ones here; https://firebog.net/
