possible notification "bug" non-windows OS

I have been running (testing) linux the past 3 weeks or so. Using firefox. I get new post notifications ok, but sometimes I click the notice, read the post, but then when I go back to notification dropbox, I see that the post I just clicked & read is still "highlighted" as unread? The older I get the more confusing this is -- deeply deja vu -- also see this on FreeBSD firefox. But it is intermittent. Most of the time it works normally, then for no obvious reason one post is still marked unread, it stays in that unread condition, ie, I click it again, it goes to the post ok, I return to to notifications and that notice STILL shows unread, etc etc etc... sorta weird.

Do you use the back arrow button in your browser to go back to the notifications page?

no I don't use the back arrow button, after I read the post that I clicked to, I just click the notification icon again to dropdown the posts list, normally it has updated post to "read"

Maybe the page need to refresh, sometimes caching in browser can reload old state for a webpage, I sometimes face the same issue.

coulld be... what I have noticed, notice remaining unread when it happens, it just happens to that one post, not the most recent post in the list. The others clear to "read" as I go thru the list. I don't recall seeing this happen in windows, only has happened in Linux with firefox. Not really a big deal, just curious...
