[QUOTE="Zero Knowledge, post: 1116852, member: 57429"] I see your point but jurisdiction is a non issue for me these days in most cases. If they can't get legal access they will just hack the service anyway so your pretty much reliant on the Vpn service keeping no logs and keeping as little as information about you and your account as possible. And that goes to my point of having a reliable well working efficient clean coded Vpn app, the better the code the less chance of exploits and attacks and less chance of you getting owned. If a Vpn provider can't release a well coded Vpn app with a functional UI how do you expect them to run a privacy service with hundreds if not thousands of servers? You can't.... It's also one thing to rebuff a DMCA take down request but how the Vpn provider deals with a valid court order is another matter. In this case Vpn services located in USA are probably a good thing, it's one thing to hack, attack or collect data on a foreign Vpn service without a warrant but the amount of paperwork needed to collect data on a USA service and get a valid court order and warrant would be I imagine be immense. I doubt they could collect all data from a Vpn service or be allowed to and the conditions would only allow them to collect information on the targeted user not dragnet surveillance or data collection which would be allowed of a foreign service.
