Well I powered on my PC just a few minutes ago. With my network card disabled, which I did before shutting down last night, I checked the Internet Options and under Connections > LAN settings proxy is checked with 127.0.0.1 as the IP and 5050 as the port. I unchecked the proxy server box and clicked OK, but upon opening Chrome the change I made was reverted and the Proxy box was checked again. Also upon Chrome starting up superfish.com makes an attempt to load. Upon checking my Chrome local storage folder (within User Data) a superfish localstorage and localstorage-journal file appears. What steps should I take next?
