QuickHeal is an Indian software publisher and competitor of K7 Antivirus.
Although little known to the general public, it is quite well known in India.
QuickHeal has announced a number of developments for 2026, including AI machine learning, enhanced behavioral protection, and more.
Let's take a look...
Interface :
The product interface hasn't changed much since 2025.
Surprisingly, MetaProtect is an add-on to the antivirus software... why charge extra for it if it offers something extra?
In any case, the product is certainly attractive, colorful, and above all very easy to use, but it still puts a heavy load on the system...
Web protection: 6/9
QuickHeal blocked 6 out of 9 links, and 4 infections got through. Average.
Fake crack : N/A
The sample is too old and the site that distributed it was down.
Skipped.
Malware Pack : Remaining 59 threats out of 79
QuickHeal's anti-malware engine is completely inactive.
However, it tries to defend itself as best it can by intercepting several attacks.
But it quickly becomes overwhelmed with missed infections, and the machine is soon inundated with infections.
After the pack, I test a sample of LokiLocker. After it manages to execute, QuickHeal fortunately prevents the files from being encrypted (even though the ransomware manages to access other partitions).
While its behavioral protection has evolved, it still remains very average...
Final scan :
QuickHeal : 0
NPE : 21 (QuickHeal detects a TMP file when displaying results)
KVRT : 24 (Memory Infected)
Final opinion:
QuickHeal is an antivirus program that is trying to evolve, but slowly.
I am quite surprised that MetaProtect is not included in the program, as I was unable to test it.
What surprised me was that QuickHeal performed very poorly in the antimalware scan, becoming a very bad scanner in the tests.
However, it is trying to improve its proactive protection, even though it is still very average.
Not yet recommended.
