1] What Extensions are you using in Chrome?

2] Any particular reason for using AVG?

3] For McLovin, what about backup?

For Windows 7 :

Other Free AV software :

On-Demand scanners :

Browsers Plugins :
This are a few plugins that will make your live more easy and confortable:

Virtualization:
Even if you submitted a file to virustotal.com and it said that it's clean , you'll need to run it in virtual environment because sometimes infection can be so new that security vendors don't have signs for it.

Virtualization software will allow you to browse the web or run another application in a completely safe environment. This is especially useful when visiting high-risk web sites, whether accidentally or deliberately, as the Web browser will be completely contained within the virtual enviroment, preventing any damage to your computer.
A sandbox can also be used to run any other applications which you think may be suspect - you can run the program inside the sandbox to determine whether or not it is safe while remaining completely protected against any malicious actions that it may try to carry out.
I strongly advise you to install Sandboxie and use it when you're browsing the Internet or running shady/unknown programs.
Alternately you can try BufferZone PRO (Free) , another great virtualization software.

Sandboxie (Free/Paid) - link
Sandboxie runs your programs in an isolated space which prevents them from making permanent changes to other programs and data in your computer.

Always run suspicious of freshly downloaded files in a Sandboxie to verify that he download isn't compromised!Sandboxie will replicate perfectly your operating system so all the files should run without any problems in it.

The one that I would suggest is Avast, since your advanced and with Avast you can have that power to change the settings the way you like.
Maybe one I did forget was Comodo Internet Security that is good for advanced users as well.

Not sure why Hitman Pro gives the error. Can you provide a screenshot?

Try a fresh install, maybe that could fix it :).

You can try out zone alarm antivirus + fw (it uses kaspersky av engine) Zonealarm

2. Avast

3. Ad-Aware Ive have used for quite some time and it was pretty good. :)

Firewall / Suite:

1. Comodo IS

2. Comodo FW

3. Privatefirewall

4. TinyWall

5. Online Armour

The list from McLovin offers Paid solutions only.

I am still trying to understand why would someone use a paid solution when a free alternative does the job just right.

Free options:

Windows 7 built in backup solution
Paragon Backup & Recovery Free
Macrium Reflect Free
EaseUS Todo Backup Free

Also, Rollback RX is not a backup solution. It is a rollback solution. Not to mention to have backup capabilities software with Rollback RX is nearly impossible. There are work arounds but require using a boot disk to do the necessary backup to completely backup Rollback RX Snapshots.

Not to mention Rollback RX would be useless on a hard disk failure. Sure its snapshot and rollback capability are handy but once your drive is dead, you will be thinking: I should have backup the data on an external drive.
