AVG continues, to be in my opinion the best of the products out of all GEN Digital products. The application seems to be free of scareware Unlike Norton and Avast. AVG secure VPN also works for YouTube and is not blocked like Norton's VPN is. AVG in my opinion still seems to be a hidden gem that not many people talk about lately and is fairly cheap as you can get an Ultimate license for 2 years just under $20. Not bad for a product that offers an unlimited VPN and even a killswitch. AVG tuneup is not bad either and has not damaged my system in anyway using the product.

I completely agree with you. AVG has consistently proven itself to be a reliable and cost-effective solution. Its VPN service and lack of scareware are indeed commendable features. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

AVG also offers it's browser protection from data stealing malware and is very effective in preventing credentials from being stolen. It's worth it over defender in my opinion even if malware gets past it's going to protect you're passwords.

Nice clean home screen as well :) The thing that held me back from when I tried the free version, is the lack of purchase options, 1 to 10 devices, no 3 - 5 devices. I did talk with chat support and I guess that's just the way it is.

Thank you, I really appreciate the kind offer, but I just recently bought a 1 year subscription to ESET. But when I had used AVG, I preferred it over Avast and Avira.

Thanks again :)

If i disable the firewall (i"m always using Comodo FW no matter what AV i am using btw) i"ll still receive that permanent warning from AVG that a module is disabled? It"s very upsetting. Or maybe at installation like Avast,i can choose what modules to install and ditch the firewall from the beginning?

I would reach to the support forums as they could be conflicting.

Hi. Yes, you can disable any component. Just like Avast. I really love that kind of custom installation.

I have installed AVG Internet Security and the program looks very good. It seems easy, with many nice features, actually much better than the Norton 360 Deluxe. But this is my little experience with the program, but it surprised me. If this is a solid program, I would definitely recommend this. Thank you nickstar1:)

I like AVG Internet Security, I had it on 1 pc but here is why I uninstalled it last week
last week I did a scan with hitman pro, and it found malware, while AVG was not aware of the issue,
so I uploaded the files to virus total malware, now to be fair AVG was only installed on the system 3 weeks ago
So what was first the malware or AVG I don't know .// anyhow I did a restore with AOMEI Backupper that left me with a BSOD and non-bootable system. So I wiped everything nuked and started over ...........

When I was using the free version, that was about the same time frame I uninstalled it. It was great up to that point, but then started giving me errors, modules(s) error, not working right (I can't remember exactly). I really do like it in general, but that's why it was temporarily used on my end, besides their lack of subscription options.

Stability wise was Kaspersky, is F-Secure (no matter what is going on with them as of now) and ESET. No repairs, no reinstalls or glitches that involved a reinstall (or missed malware using NPE and KVRT as secondary scans).

I mean all security products will fail at one point or another to be fair i'v seen them all fail. They do have one of the largest threat detection databases so you're defiantly in good hands the password protection does it's job.
