Your problem is not your Xiaomi phone. It's the specs that suck. You get what you pay for. Any phone whether it is Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei are going to struggle if you feed them 2 GB RAM and an anemic CPU which was probably ok 3 years ago. You should move to snapdragon 6xx chips or 7xx.... 3/4GB RAM is a bare mimimum. That said, the MOST BANG FOR THE BUCKS are realme, xiaomi, Huawei, Lenovo. I would also consider other brands like oppo, meizu. Stay away from ulefone. Edit: Disclaimer: I've had Samsung Gio, Redmi 1s, Redmi note 3 pro, Redmi Mi8 SE and until recently redmi 5A (for wife) swapped for Lenovo Z5s L78071, Redmi Note 7 devices. They have been providing me the best bang for the bucks and were easily shipped internationally. Recently, I've become quite annoyed with ADS SYSTEM WIDE on their phones. I've had to disable all their native apps and install paid third party apps. If I cannot adbshell or block those apps if I'm in the market for a new phone, I will axe Xiaomi.
