Well here is an app, that is getting lots of praise. They are constantly seeking users ideas, and making adjustments, and it uses Windows firewall.

I tested this firewall recently and had it replaced by SterJo NetStalker instead. Both are available in portable version.

FAB needs Windows Firewall to work and it has no 'Start up when Windows starts' feature. You need to manually start it after Windows has started.
