How well Comodo (antivirus/IS) removes threats and restore system changes (registry, settings etc) compared to other products that are known to do the job good (Norton, Kaspersky)? AV-comparatives does not have comodo in it's test and I cannot easily find info on the internet either.
Thanks!

AV-Test.org doesn't appear to have "Repair" results for CIS 6.0
http://www.av-test.org/en/tests/home-user/producer/comodo/

You need Comodo GeekBuddy for removal, Comodo can't handle the pressure.

Thanks! I 'll check them soon when I have some time. Geekbuddy is not free as I know. You mean that for a removal equivalent to other products without 3rd person help, Geekbuddy is required? That's not good as other products (are said to) remove (most) threats properly without any further support.

GeekBuddy ($50 subscription, per year) has been pushed through many Comodo products, to sell it's paid service. GeekBuddy is premium IT Remote/Support to help solve problems with your PC - I have no other knowledge how or what Comodo refers to the mentioned "Certified Expert".
http://www.geekbuddy.com/

So, is GeekBuddy required? No.

Do watch those videos, it'll give you an idea of how Comodo cleans an pre-infected PC. ;)

I watched them all. Comodo needs to create rescue disk to clean most infections. My next question is, it this needed to that degree for most other known antivirus products? Or just Comodo cannot cleanup while the infected OS is running? You 'll say: test is by yourself, but I do not have any junk PC to to it. xD

The videos were to give you an idea. ;)

Some vendors do provide a Rescue Disk, that's all I can say or know.

According to Av-comparatives, and one-two other less known testing sources on the net Comodo is not good at removing viruses and restoring system changes. Kaspersky seems the best at removing malware in all of them On the other hand you cannot easily trust a testing site/company.

Comodo internet security is not Designed to remove and restore changes. It does can for existing malwre.they have Comodo Rescue disk and comodo cleaning essentials which are designed to clean infected systems. CIS is much better at preventing computers from getting infected.

Useful info, maybe it would be a wise move to hint the user when removing viruses via traditional scan, to also check with CCE or/and rescue disk. Although from what I see in the videos, CCE does not detect any malware (maybe detected very few, don't remember).

They have their own rescue disk where it integrates CCE and using linux version.

Link

Since it could focus to detect more without conflicts of running processes.

Comodo is decent at cleaning malware but I think Malwarebytes of HitManPro are better choices.
