detection rate is not that good, even though they are using Bitdefender and their own TERA engine , software update cycle is tooo low....

I would sacrifice low memory consumption and fast scanning for great protection and a regularly updated software

Does not show the Bitdefender engine version, is it available in the free version or must one pay for it?

RoboScan uses two anti-virus engine BitDefender and Roboscan Tera (ALYac)
Here is an older engine BitDefender. Thus for protection are also various proactive and cloud technologies, which are not included in the engine .

Didn't know that. Makes a lot of sense, explains their low detection rates compared to other BD-powered products.

Just right-click the tray icon and select 'Roboscan Product Information'

Actually, there are two things that are worth mentioning about this product:

Very light
Fast scan

But detection is poor.
