Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web is pleased to announce the release of version 10 of Dr.Web for Mac OS X. The product includes a new component: the HTTP monitor Dr.Web SpIDer Gate which is designed to scan HTTP traffic and control Internet access. Several upgrades have also been made.
The SpIDer Gate HTTP monitor included in Dr.Web for Mac OS X scans traffic on all ports in real time, protects against phishing sites and other dangerous web resources, and intercepts all HTTP connections. It provides additional protection when users download malware onto their Macs. In addition, SpIDer Gate can restrict Internet access according to a black list of non-recommended sites.
Other product innovations:
Dr.Web for Mac OS X is included under licenses for Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus.
To upgrade to version 10.0, users will need to download a new distribution.
