"The company has now confirmed that it plans to release Samsung Flow for non-Samsung Windows 10 devices in the future, originally the app was launched two years ago along with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.

Samsung support confirmed in reply to a consumer query that the 'Samsung Flow app would be released for all Windows 10 PCs after the next major Windows 10 update (estimated early April)'."

The only thing i am worried of is in next years Microsoft will force all windows users to use fingerprint to unlock device than password.
But always there will be work around.

Why? You have multiple login options and aren't locked into any one in particular; e.g. I can use Hello, PIN, or password at any time on the Surface.

I use PIN on my laptop (a fingerprint scanner would be nice).

I don't use anything on my desktop.

At least this isn't using any Samsung "batteries".

I meant if they remove all the other options and only allow fingerprint. For maximum protection or something.

No, they won't remove other options.

A good example is on an iPhone or Android (encrypted), you need to enter your PIN or Pattern upon a system restart, thereafter you can use other forms of authentication, such as Fingerprint to unlock.

Samsung Flow will soon allow Samsung owners of the S6 or later, to use the devices' Fingerprint sensor to log in to Windows 10. It’s good for older hardware too that doesn't support Hello.

Only if you have a Samsung S6/Edge or newer. Does the Note have a fingerprint scanner? @Exterminator
