I want the community to come and share their review/experience with the following Sandboxie alternatives:
Cybergenic Shade vs BitBox vs RE-HIPS(Beta testers can get 1 year license) vs GeSWall

Some points to note:
1) Bitbox was designed with a single purpose in mind, being the minimal on features it's considered as a control, so judge it on the single thing it does best with others.Rest are up for comparisons on defined parameters.

2)The sandbox features tagged along with some AV suites are not considered as it would lead to major changes in security config.

3)UI not considered due to BitBox.

4) All kinds of feedback is welcome, just give a logical reason for your choice.

I will go Rehips, for those simple reasons:

- They use only Windows security mechanisms, no hooks or risky workarounds that weaken the kernel.
- They listen their testers, @hjlbx and me gave feedbacks that radically change Rehips, they are going to implement some of them in the next release.

Now we have to consider the other choices you gave:

- Shade : Seems to be the closest things to Sandboxie, unfortunately their support is quite "shady" :p (they are slow to react) and their licensing model is quite starnge (asking for a license for a free product is bad , especially if the license take ages to be delivered ^^)

- Bitbox: Mostly a browser encapsulated in a Virtual Box hosting a Linux variant. So if you need just a browser sandbox, Bitbox seems to be the strongest. Full Virtualization > Isolation.

- Geswall : long time rival of Sandboxie, but only x86 but now discontinued.

you can add "Defensewall" , one of the best few years ago, however only x86 and soon discontinued, the dev working for Avast if i recall well.

Anyway good war topic, i got bored of those ESET vs Emsi vs KIS vs the world :p

I saw the post on Re-HIPS forums

I saw your post on RE-HIPS forums, it seems the product is under continual development and we can only expect it to be better.Shade seems to do better in one of the video reviews , where it suppressed an attack which might come at the cost of usability. If we could get a similar test for the next release of Re-Hips.(Request)

BitBox seems to stand out in terms of download size and one trick pony, but it's great for netizens who are not downloading new software or making major changes to their system frequently.

GeSWall I like what it says on it's homepage and professional edition is still up for sale, need to test it out a bit.

Right now for me it's Geswall and Shade( time bound opinion as Shade needs granularity with it's options and Re-Hips is still in testing phase)64 bit users may not agree, waiting for their opinion also.Bitbox seems unattractive considering other full-virtualization products offer much more in a smaller package.

Shade Sandbox, being simple is good but there are some flaws that needs a continuous revision; upon the test, its concept of isolation is more lockdown compare to Sandboxie however both of them are properly secure to avoid any leaks.

Geswall is too outdated in the security landscape, although effective wayback before its no longer maintained. Just search on Youtube on those in action reviews. ;)
