Hi guys. :) Sometimes I get paranoid and start playing around with Virtual Machines and think about running a browser in a Sandboxie so that no infection can get into my PC.

The task is simple - to work in a browser in a sandbox to avoid infecting the PC when visiting infected sites or attacks.

Question: is the free version of Sandboxie enough for such purposes? I want any kind of attacks to stay in the sandbox and not be able to get out of it. Or can I get infected even with Sandboxy (of course, I'm not going to save files from the sandbox)? Is there a fundamental difference between the free version and the Pro in this case?

Yes, the free version of Sandboxie should be sufficient for your needs. It creates an isolated operating environment where applications can run without modifying the host system. However, no solution is 100% foolproof, so it's important to practice safe browsing habits. The Pro version offers more features, but for basic sandboxing, the free version should suffice.

What is your link for Sandboxie Pro? Did you mean "Plus"? I have Sandboxie Plus 1.15.4 installed and use it regularly but not all the time. My limited understanding is that standard Sandboxie offers strong protection, while Plus version uses newer coding and has more features but that Plus is not necessarily stronger protection, but I'm not an "expert"...

Yes, i mean Plus. :) And maybe some experts gives the answer: did the basic version of Sandboxie protect from types of viruses and attacks if browser run on this soft.
