Xbox fans rejoice, more storage size is coming!
Xbox One is the very definition of what consoles are: blocky with as few customization options as possible. Now you can add an external HDD to that.
IMO this is a must have as the storage is is really a problem for me! 2TB for $99 USD is not bad.

Xbox One is the very definition of what consoles are: blocky with as few customization options as possible. Now you can add an external HDD to that.
Consoles don't really let you change much about them, if anything at all. PlayStation 4 at least lets you replace the hard drive that you'll find inside the console, either with another hard drive or with a speedier SSD, in case you need the extra space.
However, if you're an Xbox fan, you can't do even that. All you could do is find a compatible external HDD and plug it into your USB port at the back of your console.
Xbox Ones are very much limited size-wise, with only 500GB not being an ideal storage size for modern games, which could easily pass the 30GB file size without any patches or DLCs installed. In this regard, Microsoft did take notice of the growing issue and started to sell 1TB versions of Xbox One that will handle bigger sized games much better.
Seagate steps in to rectify Xbox One's storage size issue
However, for those who really have an issue with memory size, maybe because of a really big games library, Microsoft partnered with Seagate and decided to launch a special Xbox-branded Seagate external HDD.
Called "Game Drive for Xbox," the new product is a 2TB external storage solution built specifically for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Although Microsoft wants to advertise it as the "only external drive designed exclusively" for the Xbox One, it won't probably be too hard for people to make it work on PCs as well.
When you install it on your console, it'll appear as a second drive for games, so more space will be available from start.
Right now, the Seagate "Game Drive" is available only in US for $99 (€91), while no other information is given on whether it will come to EU or Asia any time soon.
