Your config looks really good have you followed this guide? How to setup Avast Internet Security 2016 for Maximum Protection (Guide) (Works for the Free version of Avast as well) Maybe add Zemana Anti-Malware Free as another on demand scanner and you're good to go! :)

Yes, Avast scans for PUP's & I ask for it to warn me when downloading files with a poor reputation. I don't really need to use Hardened mode since I don't venture "too far out" of the internet or download unknown files. :D

Zemana though, I can't find their free protection. Everything is all "limit time offer, buy now".
Scrap that, I was looking on the wrong website. LOL! I still can't find their free version of their anti virus. :(

The free trial is the free version.

Your config looks good!
Avast + Windows Firewall + UAC + Smartscreen = A nice setup
I might consider uBlock Origin in place of ABD but it is not necessary.
Thanks for sharing it with us :)

Because avast can scan & block dangerous websites, I suggest you to remove Avast Online Security or just leave it there
install Bitdefender trafficlight on chrome webstore so you have double web protections. Avast is not known to be great in web protection but bitdefender does/better

add some antispyware filters into ublock
- adguard spyware filter
- hphosts malware filter (quite aggressive, try it yourself)
- enable Malware filter list by Disconnect‎

Backup every night? That's pretty ambitious. What are you using to backup your data? (Apologies if it's right in front of me)

If you're using a disk imager and you want to take some of the weight off it's shoulders, I'd recommend maybe doing a daily backup with RollBack Rx and a weekly backup with your disk imager. It's really a preference thing, but imo running a disk imager every night is going to be mildly exhausting on resources/time.

Aside from that, great!!!!

I use File History. It get's the job done and doesn't eat up a lot of resources. If there's not a lot of files to do, it takes about 20 - 40 seconds. Although, If I've been recording 5 hours worth of DVR footage during a gaming session with friends, it only takes 5 - 10 minutes, which I don't mind. :p
