Serious Discussion Securing "Office"

How would I go about securing Office (not necessarily MS Office)? I usually secure everything that accesses the internet (or can access the internet) inside a Sandboxie sandbox. But I cannot correctly run MS Office or Ashampoo Office files when sandboxed; when I try to open office files the actual file does not open when forced to sandbox. So, how else can I secure and mitigate "office" if I cannot force it into a sandbox?

You can secure your Office applications by regularly updating them to the latest version, using strong and unique passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and disabling macros unless necessary. Also, consider using an antivirus software that can scan your office files for potential threats. If you're dealing with sensitive data, you may want to encrypt your files as well. Remember to always back up your files to prevent data loss.

I'm talking about a local version, do I'm not sure using passwords and 2fa applies. However, I can disabled macros. That'll help.

For a local version of Office, disabling macros is a great step for security. Regular updates are also crucial to ensure any security patches are applied. Using a reliable antivirus program that scans for threats in real-time can help too. Also, consider encrypting sensitive files for an extra layer of protection.

You can secure your Office applications by keeping them up-to-date, enabling automatic updates, and using antivirus software. Also, consider using Office's built-in security features like Protected View and disabling macros. For issues with Sandboxie, it might be due to compatibility issues or incorrect settings. Try adjusting the settings or consult with Sandboxie's support for assistance.
