Security Company Says About 600,000 Macs Infected With Trojan Virus : on NPR.org : http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2012/04/05/150063548/security-company-says-about-600-000-macs-infected-with-trojan-virus

Aaa .. 600 000 Apple Macs infected .. and my Windows XP - not. :D

'The virus — which gets into your computer if you visit an infected site — installs malware onto a computer and later sends information such as usernames and passwords to botnets. Dr. Web estimated that of 600,000 Macs infected, 57 percent were in the United States.

We've contacted Apple for a response, but we have not heard back. We'll update if we get one.' ..;)

Find Out if Your Mac Has the Flashback Trojan — the Fast and Easy Way : on Mashable.com : http://mashable.com/2012/04/05/mac-flashback-trojan-check/

'We’ve already detailed how to check your Mac to see if you’re infected — but that requires some command line code, and we know that not all users are comfortable doing that.

Now we’ve gone one step further and wrapped those commands into two AppleScripts.

Why two? Well, there are actually two areas of your hard drive that need to be checked for nasty files. ' ..

And even after this, There will still be mac users that say "Macs can't get viruses..only Windows etc".

Everything has its exploits. I re-call that Rogue AV that hit Mac last year due to a vulnerability in Safari which Apple took its time to patch and update.

They must aware that protection isn't a bad idea at any platform OS. Also when infected they straightly panic and call a customer support.

Gotta love these 'thanks' at the end of posts.

Back to the topic, they can't get enough infections to realize that they can get infected. Contradiction?
