For Windows 7 :

Not sure how good Appguard and Shadow Defender are together but have you considered free AV software?

Free AV software :

Browsers Plugins :
This are a few plugins that will make your live more easy and comfortable:

I

illumination

That is a decent light set up, but have to agree with McLovin, i would add a anti-virus and the plugins for extra measures and usability.

I agree with Mclovin on everything especially the AV issue.Avira and Avast are very good free Antivirus programs.You could also go with Avast and Zone alarm Firewall which is also free.

If you would like to try a Security Suite both AV and Firewall There are a few options

Bitdefender Total Protection 2013 Has a still valid 90 day trial

Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 still has a 90 day trial {which can be applied to KIS 2013}

Eset Nod32 Antivirus & Smart Security still can get 90 days

Avira Internet Security or Antivirus Premium which I can get a 6 month key for you{PM me If you would like to try either one}

I think once the AV issue and Browser extensions are taken caare of you will be pretty solid

with Appguard and SD activated all the time , he needs nothing else; Appguard id an Anti-executable (a simpler HIPS) that will alert him if any suspicious exe want run and then even if it misses one , SD will negate all changes.

BitDefender Traffic Light(BDTL)

As Umbra said, combo of Shadow Defender and AppGuard, no need for a RT or OD unless the user wants a piece of mind.

Appguard will automatically block files not in the allow list (I did a video about Appguard).

As for SD, as long as the user is in Shadow Mode, he will be fine.

@unknown: You do know that CIS 5.10/5.12 is still available right? You seem to just recommend CIS 6 when in reality we can't just recommend it to any user.

Even the jump from 5.x to 6 has a bit of a learning curve for existing users.

i agree, Bioz and me never recommended CIS unless the users have a good knowledge of its system.

Right Umbra Cis 6 is the toughest ISS security to manage I have seen in recent days.

I have given it a try and now I come to know why MT members love comodo product,its excellent in protection and light as well.
Comodo browser are smoother then real chrome & firefox. :D

I have some problem with EIS
1.... Takes long time till your computer is usable.
2.....Slow downs everything except browsing.
3.....Spikes in ram and cpu
4.....Last but not the least I have misplaced licenses :D

I also agree, no need to over-complicate with AV and Firewalls.

Thanks for all the feedback. I really like my setup because it is so light.
