Security setup for remotely managed laptop for newbie user

Hi All - I remotely manage 2 laptops (via teamviewer) for both sets of my grandparents, they are complete beginners and need defense not just against the usual virus and malware threats but also against random button pressing - eg - if they press the airplane mode button by accident then their internet is down and I can no longer fix it without actually being there.

I have set them up with the same security config I have (Bitdefender Total, Malwarebytes anti exploit etc)
Any Ideas on any other compatible "idiot-proofing software"? - I am considering timefreeze or something like it - something that will perform a rollback of any changes on reboot - so in the worst case I can just call them and say "turn it off and on again" and they will at least be back online.
But how well does that work with security software? -Anyone tried it?

That's ok, but just make sure ransomware protection is enabled in bitdefender total security

Make sure they run on a basic account with UAC on Always Notify.

that is a given , but we are talking about totally inexperienced users, notifying them doesn't guarantee anything. I am looking for a way to foolproof their systems so they can't screw things up too badly. If I were nearby I would take an acronis trueimage backup and restore it in case of disaster. Being remote that is hard for them to do (especially if they go offline and i am trying talk them through it by phone)

If bitdefender is in autopilot mode, it does everything automatically without even a notification
True - part of the reason i am using it. I can also monitor online which of the compurters has security issues.(updates needed etc)

I was referring to windows UAC notifications, My grandparents would not know when it is safe to allow something.

Well, maybe you can remove UAC and add malwarebytes anti-malware premium to provide more protection against adware and PUPs

Toolwiz time freeze which is anothet good virtualixation software to isolate the system from viruses that may accident download and execute.+ Consider a product like SecureAplus (companion AV) which runs on online from cloud engines and leave by default whitelisting technology.

Normally if you use SD on boot , the only security soft you need is a basic anti-keylogger, you won't need to care abut AV since every system modification disappears at reboot. Windows Updates won't become important , you will do the updates yourself when you visit them.
