Sandboxie dev. posted in that thread as well, discussing the general limitations of truly effective sandboxing. Nevertheless, he has improved his Sandboxie security-wise since then, as well as optimizing its performance. So I will continue using SBIE for the near future at least. I also tried Shade in the past but found it had relatively few user options at that time compared to Sandboxie.
