"SIKURPhone was subjected to rigorous hacking tests for two months. We were delighted with the outcome. Hackers failed to gain access to any information."

The folks at Sikur are back with a next-generation SIKURPhone, promising the first fully encrypted, hack-proof smartphone that can safely store cryptocurrencies. Only 20,000 units will be available for pre-sale beginning February 27th at a promotional price of $799.
  • 5.5-inch FHD Gorilla Glass display
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 64GB of storage
  • 13MP rear and 5MP front camera
  • 2800 mAh battery
SIKURPhone also sports fingerprint authentication, which the company claims can help recover personal data if the device gets lost or you forget your password. It runs a fork of Android, and any third-party apps must be vetted and confirmed by the company before they're available in an upcoming app store.

When the original Granite Phone came out, it was essentially for security-conscious governmental and corporate users, but the device found a pretty strong foothold with everyday consumers. SIKURPhone adds a secure cryptocurrency wallet along with its secure OS, communication systems and third-party apps.

The screen size should have been between 4.0-4.7 inch and the battery should have been bigger. Clearly this phone isn't designed while keeping consumers as first priority. So why not make it a 4.5 inch, 4000mAh phone. That would have been more practical.

I bet if it becomes popular on the market when all the good security researchers from the main InfoSec community come along, they will find flaws with it

E.g. Google Project Zero team

Nobody will really care about the "two months of hackers that couldn't hack it." All they will look at is the hardware specs and make comparisons to other phones within the same price point.

Who were the hackers ? What were their qualifications ? That will be the questions asked by those interested in the "two months of uncompromised hacking" part.

Then some 12 year old will come along and completely smash the phone in some unpatchable, unfixable way within 14.7 seconds. Your $849 "security investment" just Vaporized.

Same thing as the McAfee "Unhackable phone". Look what happened to that. He bet people were will to pay $1,100 or more for it. It just vaporized:

John McAfee is making an unhackable phone
