Another One Bites the Dust I have used it myself I'm occasion, and it's quite a decent firewall

To many viable alternatives (oversaturated at this point). Was ok, lite and simple as its name goes - but that's just it - didn't bring nothing new to the firewalls table. Neither was some unique app - which stands out or hard to be replaced. Who knows, maybe nobody was downloading it anymore (or very few) - seeing the dev is still actively working on his other apps.

A short warning to the readers of this blog who use SimpleWall as a firewall or tool for configuring the Windows Filtering Platform. A reader has informed me that the software has probably been hacked. I didn't found a proof, but there is a fact: The developer has archived the repository and is no longer developing it since then. In addition, a fake "simplewall" page has also appeared that aims to lure unsuspecting users.

Had to replace MD in order to be able to use simplewall; it calls it a trojan!

I used it for about a week. I don't remember exactly, but I may have created an exception for MD.

Solved; download the portable one, no alarm from MD or SAC.
