Hi :) Yes, UAC enabled and always notify me ;)

I decided by Mcafee IS 2015 in this new computer, among other things because it has a very good Parental controls. It is a promo that few hours remaining, if you want it... run!

Basically what I want is to have the greatest possible tranquility  when my daughter browses in the internet.

She has just turned five years old. I shall of the maintenance of the computer, so any advice or suggestion will be welcome. ;)

Thank you and have a nice day! :)

"Parental controls", setup properly, would be the first priority for a child of that age!
Cheers!:)

Thanks my friend! :) I think the same as you. I prioritize tranquility before detection. ;)

hi, nice config;)
I just think that you don't need comodo Firewall because Mcafee has their own.since this PC is for your daughter, I will change DNS to Norton + pornografy.nothing more to add. be happy ;)

Thanks my friend! I :) like Norton DNS but gives problems connecting to a Web page of color contours and other games like that. I'll try with Comodo DNS. ;)
I read the firewall Mcafee negative reviews, so we have installed Comodo Firewall. The most logical and sensible thing would have left installed itself, but ... I'm not logical or sensible . You know me.

I think the advice given by @Piteko21 and @venustus is very good advice other than that very good config. :);)

Thanks digger! You're absolutely right

Good config. Thanks for sharing

Thanks @Antar36

Good config.

I will suggest add opendns with stats on. That way you can block access to unwanted sites and also can track what sites you child has visited.

Though I don't like McAfee but as it has a good parental control it's a good choice for your child's system.
Also I don't think you required Comodo since you already have McAfee IS.

few more suggestions would be

1. Provide non-administrative user account to your children ( so that they can not disable important security features)
2. Password protect your Antivirus/ Security Suite so that in can not be disabled without Password.
3. Add emsisoft emergency kit and Hitman pro in the on-demand scanner list ;)

Thank you @Anupam , :) very good advices. unaware of OpenDNS, I will investigate because it seems a very good solution. ;)

I had thought to create a user for my daughter, but when my wife has to do something with the computer ... well, I better leave it as it is, no more users. :D

I understand your problem. But now a days kids are very smart. If they have administrative access, they can disable any feature they want to.

You may enforced a default fully virtualized system (Toolwiz Time Machine/Time freeze or Shadow Defender) alongside of exception to the WU patches + McAfee definition updates + and few others so that if anything came wrong then its easy for such revert operation.

Downloads and other stuff will be place on Local Disk D directory.

*This setup is based on what I saw on most internet shops and seems pretty fine for your case though.

Hi friend, I read all the previous comments and I fully agree with the other friends.Your daughter's PC security configuration is very good.:)

I too have used McAfee , works well, has good signatures, Site Advisor blocks most of malware sites and good Parental Control.

Thanks @jamescv7 It's a very good idea. :) I always thought of this type of software to test for malware. And my daughter could be a big Malware :p.

Some good suggestions to consider have already been made.Nice config!! Thanks for sharing it with us :)

Thanks @exterminator20 . Yes, sure, very good suggestions. Sometimes I like to be a masochist, I mean, I come with a question and now I have 4. The good thing is that they are 4 different ways to get a good solution :)

:cool:Add K9 as parental,you got nothin' to lose :D
Thanks @Malware Test moj prijatelj :D you got nothin' to lose! One of the best songs. I love it. If I don't like the Mcafee filter, I will go with k9. What I'm reading in its web is very interesting

Thanks @Klipsh amico,:) yes, excellent advice which I have commented. Thanks for the info Mcafee, I'm not quite sure of its quality in the detection, so I will accompany scan on demand, as it has come today EEK (info provided by @exterminator20 )

I followed the advice of @Anupam , SecureDNS crashing with my daughter's config, because she has fixed IP on her computer (router ports), so I'm thinking to create users on the computer (my wife is going to go wrong :( ) or go with Toolwiz ;) (money rules)

Thank you all, you are really helping me :)

We are working with this option. My wife does not have to learn anything new and we have the utmost tranquility on the content they my daughter can see on the internet and the impossibility of infection in her computer. :)

It is the best solution for my family because I like to do new things with the computer ;), my wifehates it :( and my daughterpresses the button of mouse faster than Clint Eastwood his guns .

Thanks for the advice, for now, works perfectly :)
