Small Earthquake hits eastern Ontario, west Quebec

There was a minor earthquake in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec on Wednesday afternoon, with accounts of feeling tremors from Ottawa to the Greater Montreal Region.

Natural Resources Canada says the quake was centered in Lachute, Que., between Ottawa and Montreal, and struck this afternoon about 1:36 p.m. ET. It had a magnitude of 4.3.
