Today we're going to take a look at Sophos Home.
Sophos is an English company that only produced a version for Enterprise called Endpoint InterceptX.
Since 2017, Sophos has expanded its range with a solution for individual in-the-cloud and manageable from an administration console via his account.
Personally, I don't like this way of working because if one day the user's account is hacked, he will be able to modify everything without worrying!
On the protection level, on the Web, Sophos is good, even if it put me the blocking messages in French (recognition via the IP ?? ) whereas I was in English version !
On the Phishing level, Sophos has a lot of trouble.
On the other hand, on the files, it is another story...
The analysis is already very very long... I have a fiber optic line, yet the analysis was very slow!
It blocks the files without alerting during the execution.
On the other hand, my home-made malware (an MBRLocker) passes without difficulty and finishes the test.
I was very confident because of the URL score, but quickly cooled down because of the rest...
I don't recommend using Sophos.
