This is my recent config. Well, I'm just for a simple security with lightness as the focus.

Nice 10 Tech Preview config.I wouldnt worry too much about the lifetime license as MBAM is just fine as an on demand scanner

Thanks for the advice but I'm invested in MS ecosystem since I have a WP, Windows OS on my laptop, OneDrive for cloud storage and Outlook account though I have a G-mail account just for YouTube.

I'm just waiting for Project Spartan to replace IE.

Just make a habit of backup (as you mentioned already) and no need for lots of tools.
