RE: my security configuration

oh, Comodo Time Machine ^^ no issues?

good config, Trend users are quite rare, McLovin will appreciate ;)

on what basis you set the scores? what age are the samples? it is the same samples for all tests?

I also see you mix both suites with HIPS/BB (aka CIS, Pure, EAM, etc...) with simple AVs, you should separate them in the results or just use the AV.

The way you did is like comparing a simple bullet-proof vest with another one with kevlar reinforcement.

Hi:
I used malwares and link from malc0de.com. malwaredomanlist, clean mx sites and tested for proactive protection and on-demand protection. I based my security on my tests.

Your right but I chose suites when ever I could and was available for download(get my hand on as a trial or free). Also I tweaked each one with the highest optimal setting and not factory sets. Only browser tests had factory default test. Also I used latest firefox on windows 7 ultimate 32bit for tests

Glad to see another user that uses Trend Micro. :D What are your settings? I know there ain't much but still good to know. What made you choose Trend in the first place?

Hi:
Well I have maximize and optimized it for highest security. Here is what I did.

- in setting I have checked all boxes and have set protection setting to "Hyper sensitive"
- Also in web threat I have set it to high and checked all boxes.
- Network all checked.
- system startup " Extra Security"
-Also activated system tuner
-Also parental control set to custom

I have tested these setting in my VM against malware links and malwares and have been 100% effective in blocking infection. Also my primary reason for using trend was its superior web protection compared to others. Beside mine is a 6month trial giveaway from facebook.

RE: my security configuration

Great glad to see that you have the "Extra Security" start up, but with the web protection set to high don't you get a few false positives? because that is what I have found out about having it on high.

RE: my security configuration

Hi:
Well it depends on what the false positive can be. I have not found any false positives yet, but I do not go or use warez, or adult or questionable sites. By the way it has an option to allow you going to the site if you want to. SO if it blocks a page and you know is false positive then you can go into the page if you want. The option is there to back out or continue to the site.

Yeah, that is true. Well glad to see another Trend user. Thought that this whole time this forum will be opened, I would be the only one. :D
