The Galaxy S III is... well... it's ugly. There's really no other way to put it. But why? Why is it ugly? I don't mean aesthetically, why is it ugly, I mean, "How did something like this ever make it out of Samsung's design studio?" I'll tell you how, it was never in the design studio. This phone design was born down the hall, in a room where the door sign reads "Samsung Legal."
It was designed by lawyers.

I can tell just from the press shots, this thing is a Samsung lawyer's dream. I'm sure you must be thinking,"Hmm, that's a weird assumption to make." but don't worry, an explanation is forthcoming. We're going to take a trip, way, way back to the prehistoric times of April 18, 2011: The day Apple claimed ownership of the rectangle.

Remember this? It's Apple's trade dress lawsuit against Samsung. For those that don't remember, or just weren't paying attention: "Trade Dress" is a legal thing, a form of intellectual property, basically a trademark for how a product looks, as opposed to a logo or word. Like a trademark offers protection to the use of a word or the look of a logo, trade dress offers protection on design. Trade dress lets Apple say to Samsung "Your product looks too much like our product; prepare to be sued into oblivion!"

That video lacked enthusiasm... None the less I would still like to get my hands on the phone and test it myself before judging.

I currently use the Galaxy S2 and I very much like it. Non-rooted and running Android 4.03.

I didn't had either the chance of playing with this new Galaxy but the overall design isn't something revolutionary... It looks like a little upgrade of some more classic Samsung phones , nevertheless I guess people will buy this phone for the specs and not the looks...

PS. Hate this large phones as they never fit in pockets.. :)

Sad to see a phone with cool specs have this look. :( I still prefer the look of my Samsung Champ to this one. :p

OT, but I bet the new iPhone will be full screen touch, no buttons (except for around the sides). ;)

So Apple basically tried to sue Samsung for making a smartphone.
I could also say that the Samsung smartphone is a lot thicker than the iPhone.
The battery life in the iPhone, I hear, is barely enough to make a three minute call. Granted, my Samsung Galaxy smartphone doesn't have all that long a battery life, but it's certainly a lot longer than the iPhone's is supposed to be.
I swear the S III looks a lot more like an iOS product than I or II. Does the iPhone have a dock? I didn't think it did.

The first time we spotted on the TV for that latest released, assumed to be a quad core until confirmed from the specification from website.

Quad core that's how competitors from smartphone was known for trending.
