To be clear, this is about Google and Wallet services only:
We do not allow political or religion threads as the may escalate into flaming and rudeness against MalwareTips, its staff, other forum members or any other party. MalwareTips is truly global and so are its forum members. Cultures, opinions and traditions differ, and MalwareTips forums are a place for cooperation, not clashes. Recently, you may have noticed this banner at the top of the Google search homepage, Donate. It reads:
"Help refugees and migrates in urgent need. Google will your donation. [DONATE]"

Registering for a Google Wallet account:

If you donate, it's a win-win for Google:
  • You donate, Google will match
    • Google is a giant corp., they have the donations available.
  • Google gains a Wallet customer
    • Wallet can be used to purchase other Google services, including paid apps on Android.

I am not discouraging anyone to not donate, but here are my thoughts about "Donating through Google". Again, if you want to donate, it's your choice.

Thanks for reading.

Google has billions of dollars of money. I believe that they should be the one to donate a huge amount of money. Well, if they already do, then great! But, if their donation is just a very small percentage of their yearly income, then they should think again asking donations from others who have less income than them.

I would have to agree with your statement.

Well, it's an ambivalent issue. I won't go into political details.
One of the best ways to advertise a company and gain customers is by showing how good you are, how caring and humanitarian; cause, you know, someone might say: 'Google cares for refugees, it cares for me, too'.
If we were living in a utopian society, this move would be wonderful, but we are not.
