Hello...:

Symptoms have been pop-up ads, highlighted "link" words everywhere, re-routing me to different ad pages, and hijacked google searches.

Had previous bout with Metadata assistant and still sometimes see x86 in file locations....

I tried uninstalling it via the control panel and then I defaulted to looking for people who actually know what they're doing.

ETA: this is a work computer, so I don't do anything weird with it, but I noticed that the uploaded report contains some names and things. If the experts here no longer need to look at it at any point, please let me know so I can remove it just in case. THANK YOU!!!!

Hello,

We offer help only for non-business and home computers. Companies are making money via computers, so it is a good manner to pay for its repair.

Sorry for any confusion - this is my home computer that I had to buy and that I use at home to do my work. Does that still count as a business computer?

First, go to Control Panel and uninstall following (skip lines that cannot be uninstalled):

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.
