Have an android phone that now just today is spitting up Total Ad block messages. Have been trying for hours to remove as has hubby. Anyone know how to go about getting rid of this please?

You can try the following steps:

1. Go to "Settings" on your phone.
2. Scroll down and tap on "Apps" or "Application Manager".
3. Find and tap on "Total Ad block" app.
4. Tap on "Uninstall".

If it's not removable, it might be a system app. In this case, you can disable it instead of uninstalling. If the problem persists, consider using a reliable antivirus app.
