Transportation - only way to be 100% secure no matter what

To the rare occasional when you need transportation, like on a vacation, to the airport, or whatever do you trust Uber or Lyft ? Security wise and safety wise I guess.

When abroad: Don't trust anyone and always be ready for a backup. Like saying stop right here, pay what you owe and call a professional taxi service for example or take the bus/train.

That depends on the country. Most countries in Europe do for public transportation, for example. But that doesn't have to be the case elsewhere, hell, it can even differ per state or province within countries across the world (incl. within the European countries).
