Looking into the UI I thought I am in 90's. It looks like a kid tried to draw CCleaner and made something else.

The Premium version includes TrojanHunter Guard and automatic updates among other things. We will also introduce a "Quick Scan" in the next version for Premium users which will do a fast scan of running and automatically started programs as well as crucial registry keys and open ports.

The screenshots on the site have actually not been updated yet as we just released version 6. The new release actually has a more modern user interface.

Did a simple folder scan with TrojanHunter. I also compared it to several other well known scanners so you guys can get a somewhat accurate idea of what it can do.

First the pack I used: https://mega.co.nz/#!M1g1jJIR!6FYbSSFUFF99Qythxq7V3U-dqTaO-g0GA_WzfmTwD6w

71/76 - Zemana
70/76 - ESET
68/76 - Emsisoft Emergency Kit
41/76 - Malwarebytes
11/76 - Trojan Hunter

Some of the problems I noticed are:

1) Had to keep getting UAC to allow it to scan individual files when you select the files at once for a right click context scan. No problem with folder scan.
2) Had to keep scanning over and over to get it to detect more. Since this isn't running malware, I see no reason for this at all.
3) Had problems updating. It stated that it was still loading the list even though it was already taking up over 300MB of RAM and never moved at all. It did update fine when first installed at least. Conflict with Voodoo Shield maybe? It was the only thing running while testing TrojanHunter (didn't want ESET deleting files in folders where I place the malware - I should add an exclusion I guess).

My test is just a simple one. I'd await the test of @Malware Test for more accurate results on TrojanHunters abilities. Cleaning an infected computer is more relevant for a anti-malware type tool.

Trojan Hunter was once the best anti trojan on the market along with BOClean, both were highly rated in Wilders Security forum and many security enthusiastic communities, but after 2007 they started to lose popularity (and MBAM was born, changing everything).

Magnus Mischel is a excelent developer and personally I think it is great to have him "back" with 6.0 version.

If the poor detection was just a case of him not being active on this program, and is now bringing it back to life, I can get behind it. Especially if there was a place to submit missed files.

Is there any firewall/other security program that could be blocking LiveUpdate.exe? If there's no solution, let me know and I could upload a setup file that includes the latest detection rules. It will be around 125 MB.

Also, if you press Ctrl+R to bring up the Rule Statistics window it should say that you have around 1.25 million ruleset entries. If not then you don't have a complete update.
