Did an in depth review of the 2015 version so eager to test this one out soon. There was plenty room for improvement (as with any security software).

They changed the overall interface (main) but didn't really touch anything else in terms of looks, extra settings, etc. By default (for whatever reason) Application Inspector is turned off. This is it's HIPS module. In its 2015 version, this was essential in blocking zero day malware.

Keep in mind that this is the Total Protection version. It is basically Internet Security package with clean up utilities and parental control. I would personally recommend using IS or AV version as CCleaner does the clean up. The parental controls might be of use to some though.

Download size of TS version is 382MB. IS version is 362MB. AV version is 326MB. And they also have the USB AV which is 182MB. Don't confuse USB AV for it's typical AV package.

RAM usage is around 100MB. Seems they cut it down a bit. Still light on system boot/operation. When installing pay attention. If you keep the setting checked for scanning after install, CPU and disk will be heavily utilized.

This forum is free for all for any security product not designated with its own sub-forum. As such, it's precisely the right place for this thread.

Looks interesting is there a free anti-virus version or trial? Probally will stick with Avast though.
