TSB 'data breach' amid online banking upgrade chaos
The bank says it is "working as hard and as fast" as it can to fix "issues" after an upgrade hit mobile and online services.
TSB customers able to see other people's bank details after upgrade 'farce'
Why has this happened?
Over the weekend, TSB undertook a planned migration of customer data from a banking platform rented from Lloyds Banking Group to its own "state-of-the-art" platform. A total of 1.3 billion customer records had to be moved.
TSB switched off a number of services while it made the switch, but service was supposed to be back to normal before Monday morning.
Customers began noticing problems, such as being able to see other people's account details, on Sunday evening.
