British police stopped sharing information about the Manchester suicide bombing with the United States on Thursday after leaks to U.S. media that police said had risked compromising their investigations.
Hopkins said the leaks of details of the investigation to U.S. media, which included forensic photographs of the bomb site published by the New York Times, had been hurtful to the families of the victims.

"It is absolutely understandable the distress and upset that this caused to these families that are already suffering," he said.

May said she would talk to Trump at a NATO summit later on Thursday about the leaks.

"I will make clear to President Trump that intelligence that is shared between our law enforcement agencies must remain secure," she said in a televised statement.

US Intelligence services only cares about their own?

Unfortunately you cannot trust anyone but yourself. Same can be said for all the countries in the world. Obviously there is no trust.

Were now losing our trust with our biggest ally.

US Government needs to fix this by finding the person or people involved in leaking the information.

yes by doing a new presidential election :p
that is a good start lol
and then maybe they can change the way their presidential election runs (in terms of how a candidate wins the electoral district votes).
Hillary Clinton had more votes than Trump (total numbers) but their election system is weird. If 10 possible votes in one territory, as soon as 1 candidate has majority, all 10 votes get allocated to that candidate (instead of distributing the votes as they are...)

a dumb snake vs a smart snake

that election needed an other proper option hence Trump won.

Yes i agree, both options were poor. No good choice to be made.

Sorry I didn't make my point clear:
- Even though Hillary had more votes than Trump, Trump still won the election.
---> that is my point, candidate 1 votes > candidate 2 votes, but candidate 2 still wins o_O
In normal democratic elections, whoever has the most votes wins, is it not??
but their weird way of allocating ALL electoral district votes to the majority candidate in each district is why Trump still ended up winning the election.

I won't get embroiled in the whys and what nots of who should preside over the USA (as i like neither of those mentioned)

My vote would go to one of you guys, seeing as you take security seriously ;) but boy am i mad at the leaker, how bleeping dare they, we are supposed to be allies and this could have seriously hampered the onging investigations and probably gave other perpetrators the heads up on what they (security services/police) know and quite possible evading the law for what they have done.

I prefer to twist the words of a well known phrase to read "keep your enemies close but keep your friends closer" as these are the people who know the most about you and could probably do you the most harm.

yes that is true too
there's a reason why police/security services don't give the public too much information while the investigation is still ongoing

  • We do not allow political or religion threads as the may escalate into flaming and rudeness against MalwareTips, its staff, other forum members or any other party. MalwareTips is truly global and so are its forum members. Cultures, opinions, and traditions differ, and MalwareTips forums are a place for cooperation, not clashes.
This is more a reminder for POSTs and not the thread itself.

As for my opinion. I kind of dislike the media for bias on either side. Not saying that the government is perfect but it's not just them. (Still mad about NSA though.)

Agree with Lockdown, if you don't like how the government is run send a letter. It might not be read, but at least you tried..

Don't complain about it here - where it means absolutely zero.

Write a letter to President Trump

...and you don't need to be a U.S. citizen to write a letter to the Whitehouse.
It likely wasn't his fault, the details were most likely sent to the MSM and they took it from there.

If the Whitehouse received 300,000,000 letters - stuff would get fixed. It would be a media spectacle like no other - to the extent that at least a few heads would roll.

Just threw that number out. A lot less would still do the trick.

It's not Trumps fault, but it is still his responsibility because it is his administration.
