Upgrade Nokia Lumia 7.5 devices to Windows Phone 7.8 [Dev]

There was concerns that the Windows Phone 7.8 update was going to be on a slow roll out for the lumia family of devices. A new firmware build of Windows Phone 7.8 ( build 8858 ) has been spotted over at NaviFirm for a number of Lumia devices like the 510, 610, 710, 800, and 900. This can only mean that the official roll out is going to happen very soon, perhaps they want to give us this update for Christmas ? In any case if you want to jump the queue and put WP7.8 on your phone right now , we got a video that will run you through the process. ( WARNING : as always you are on you own if you decide to go down this path , any issues that may arise out of this is all on you and you are likely going to void any warranty in the process )


Please NOTE this is only for Lumia devices .. Samsung / HTC users wont be able to do this.

The updates available are for devs not mainstream and videos I've seen of people running the latest update say bluetooth sharing and other promised features are not included so I would wait

Official statement from MS when asked about the early roll out just said they are still aiming for early 2013 and this update is to test the update system

I did hear it was a Dev release but I wasn't clear what the limitations/incomplete features were. Thanks for that.

From what I heard from people who have flashed the new 7.8, they've experienced no issues, but perhaps haven't fully tested out every feature to see what is and isn't working.

As always there is a risk in doing this, proceed with caution!

Yea could be, I only watched one video review and it was reviewing the latest 8858.12460 that is available on Nokia servers (NaviFirm Plus)

He did seem to know what he was talking about and did mention BT Share was not there, and hoped this was not the final release so, I guess we'll have to wait and see
