Utah’s governor has signed two bills that could upend how teens in the state are able to use social media apps. Under the new laws, companies like Meta, Snap and TikTok would be required to get parents permission before teens could create accounts on their platforms. The laws also require curfew, parental controls and age verification features. The laws could dramatically change how social platforms handle the accounts of their youngest users. In addition to the parental consent and age verification features, the laws also bar companies “from using a design or feature that causes a minor to have an addiction to the company's social media platform.”

Parents keeping control of their kids? Pfffffft. On please. What a joke.

In schools that deny students to have phones in the classroom, there is much revolt by parents and students. The students are so vicious and nasty that they start to make false allegations when a teacher takes away their phones. There have been numerous instances of US students physically assaulting teachers over temporarily confiscated phones and digital devices.

No teacher in their right mind would permit students to have phones and other devices in their classrooms. With the attitudes that kids have nowadays, if a teacher says the wrong thing - and is recorded by a student using a phone - that teacher will likely be fired. This is happening all over the US. Just read the news. You don't have to live there to know what is happening over there.

America has gone insane with culture war.

Meanwhile... in China students are still using pencil & paper, using regular calculators, and will be the builders of most of the future technological innovations.
