Microsoft phone scammers called our house telling me that there is a virus on my computer. They don't know I let them snoop around my VMware session and record most of the conversation. I get transferred to various supervisors trying to convince me there is a lot wrong with my fresh VMware session.
Finally they demand payment of 150 EUR for their services and try to persuade me to make a online wire transfer to a Swiss bank account.

Scroll to 1:30 for proper audio (were I put the handset on handsfree).
The VMware video starts 4:30.

That is unbelievable.I feel bad for people that don't know any better and actually fall for that.Although I really don't know how anybody could.

I am pretty sure they broke a few laws with this scam

"I'm an antivirus researcher"

"That's not a problem"

...

"Let me know when you have logged in"

That end part has to be the best. Really surprised that they ring, as I've had nothing like this. If I did this would be one good video to upload. Also surprises me, that the person that was trying to sell the AV was wanting to to it then and there. That to me in itself is bad.

C'mon a good call center agent must have proper accent in speaking.

Nice video!

I'm glad that it was recorded, just to show how scammers work.
I get these scam phone calls about once every 3 or 4 weeks.
