After cashing in on $368.2 million / €286 million from Apple Inc., technology firm VirnetX seeks to gain even more from Apple’s patent-infringing iPhone 5, iPad mini, and other devices, according to a new filing announced by the Nevada company. VirnetX is including new-generation Apple products in its complaint against the Cupertino giant, as these devices were not included in the previous lawsuit that concluded with a favorable verdict for the Nevada-based company on November 6, 2012. On the same day, the Internet security software and technology company filed a second complaint against Apple Inc., in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Tyler Division. “The complaint includes allegations of willful patent infringement regarding four patents owned by VirnetX, U.S. Patent Nos. 6,502,135, 7,418,504, 7,921,211 and 7,490,151,” says VirnetX.
