Limited with suggestions until you can upgrade away from Windows XP SP3. ;)

If you don't use any Windows-only programs than have you looked Ubuntu or other Linux distros?
Planning to buy a new PC or Mac? Or can you current system handle a newer OS?

"McAfee Security Scan Plus" that isn't even good....

Also consider getting linux or new desktop.

I don't think McAfee Security Scan Plus is a realtime AV. Replace it with a good free/paid AV.. I will also suggest your Sandboxie and MBAE since XP wont be getting any future updates.

  • I like what everyone said before me!
  1. www.sandboxie.com - 1 of 2 of my favorites I'd learned from listening (numerous times) to our experienced Staff & amazingly helpful members here!:)
  2. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/CCleaner.shtml - 2 of 2 of my very favorites. Read about it, and if you have an external flash (stick) drive, try the portable version.
  3. http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2014/02/...-xp-users-should-switch-to-lubuntu-this-april - I wish I'd read this sooner!;)
  • Thanks for sharing your configuration!!:):D
