For testing purposes, I downloaded a file and ran it on a segregated VM. Different VLAN, KTS enabled, HitmanPro 3.6.6 and Norton Power Eraser. NPE says it's malware, HP and KTS say it's clean. I have been running VT via Process Explorer for a long time now, multiple reboots to try to trigger a payloard, and VT has been all clean. So how do I know if there's malware on the VM? This VM is just for testing such stuff, I don't have anything personal on it.
