Same, plus wut I notice that webroot also do a memory leak in DFX application. While webroot is active DFX uses over 250+ ram & when webroot is not active it takes only 10+ ram consumption. So in my system it was draining over 500+ ram

I just installed an 6 months trial, and I noticed the particular bug in 8.1 x64. What a pity, I liked this product.
Back to Windows 8 security again!

Webroot is one of our members favorite security products because it is supposedly so light and has excellent protection but you have to think to yourself is it worth $39.99 a year subscription when they are so many free options available. If you do like it you can not use the free trial version forever you will have to eventually buy it to continue usage. If you never intend to buy it then it really isn't worth trying unless just used for testing purposes.

Enjoy!! :D

Hello Nikos751. Since I've seriously considered installing my own 6 month version of Webroot, your comments "..noticed a particular bug in 8.1 x64. What a pity, I liked this product. Back to Windows 8 security again!" caught my eye.;)
I wanted to ask whether the bug was related to missing script on Webroot's windows, and whether you'd used Webroot simultaneously along side Windows Defender or had you deactivated Windows antivirus?
Thanks!:D

I did no uses any other av simultaneously (including WD). this is a known problem specifically in Win8 x64 and you can easily find the relevant topic in their forum. They say that it may has to do with the new way windows 8 handles the ram and its content is shared,if I remember well.

Thank you, Nikos!:) This warning is much appreciated. I'd read Webroot could be used with Windows (maybe I confused :confused:it's firewall by mistake..!).
Now, we are free(?) to choose between Webroot or Avast Premier for our son's Windows 7 SP 1.:D
