Why? HDD are dead except for data centers and the odd NAS, m2 SSD have taken over basically everything hard drive wise in modern PC's, WD offered a 8TB Black variant so space was getting up t here and the performance was good enough. It's just price they failed to compete on. It's just strange and weird they exit from the main selling drives at this point.
